Description
Leafy collards, turnips, mustard and kale have been staples on southern dinner tables for generations and a Herndon mainstay for a decade. The popularity of high-fiber greens has grown as the medical community has acclaimed their nutritional value.
The Herndon's plant the first crop of tender greens in July. Planting is timed so that the first greens are harvested in September and are available until May.
